Procedure
for
Inserting
a
Zipper
Into
a
Skirt
Machine
baste
the
placket
opening of the skirt and
press this
seam
open. Attach
the zipper
foot
to the
machine
and
position
it
to the
right
of
the needle. Open the zipper.
Place
the. ziponer
face down
on
the seem allowance with the
edge of the teeth at the seam
line.
Turn the
back
seam allo-
wance
away from
the
body
of
the skirt,
Stitch
the
zipper
tape to the
seam
allowance.
Adjust
the foot
to
the left
of
thie
needle. Close
the 7ipper
arid
turn it
Lice up, Smooth
back
the
seam
allowance
at
the edge
of
the
zipper.
Top
stitch
it to
the
tape
close
to
the
folded edge.
Turn
zipper
face
down.
Turn
work
to right
side
and
tiin
in
place.
Adjust
the
foot
to
the
right
of
the
needle.
