B. Turn the hand wheel toward you until the needle is in its
highest position and the thread take-up is visible.
C. Thread the machine with your left hand while rmly gripping
the thread with your right hand in the following order as
illustrated.
* Guide the thread through thread guide (1), and then pull
it into the pre-tension guide (2).
* Pull the thread into the tension discs, passing the thread
to the left of plate (2). Then guide the thread to the
bottom of the groove.
* Do a U-turn around the inside of the tab (3).
* Pass the thread through the thread take-up (4) from right
to left.
* Pull the thread into the inside of the take-up lever until it
reaches the eye of the lever.
* Guide the thread into the thread guide (5).
* Pass the thread through the eye of the needle (6) from
front to back. (See following page for instructions on
operation of the Automatic Needle Threader.)
THREADING THE TOP THREAD
A. Raise the presser foot lifter. Always be sure to raise the
presser foot lifter before threading the top thread. (If the
presser foot lifter is not raised, correct thread tension
cannot be obtained.)
IMPORTANT:
To verify that the machine is threaded properly in the
tension discs, do this simple check:
1.) With the presser foot raised, pull the thread towards
the back of the machine. You should detect only
a slight resistance and little or no deection of the
needle.
2.) Now lower the presser foot and again pull the thread
towards the the back of the machine. This time you
should detect a considerable amount of resistance
and much more deflection of the needle. If you do
not detect the resistance you have miss-threaded the
machine and need to re-thread it.
ENFILAGE DU FIL SUPÉRIEUR
A. Elevez le pied presseur. Veillez à toujours élever le
releveur de pied presseur avant d’enfiler le fil supérieur.
(Si le releveur de pied presseur n’est pas élevé, vous ne
pourrez pas obtenir une tension de l correcte.)
B. Tournez le volant vers vous jusqu’à ce que l’aiguille soit en
position haute.
C. Enfilez le fil de la machine avec votre main gauche tout
en tenant le fil fermement de la main droite dans l’ordre
suivant comme indiqué dans l’illustration.
* Faites passer le l par le guide-l (1), puis tirez-le dans le
guide de pré-tension (2).
* Tirez le l dans les disques de tension en faisant passer
le l à la gauche de la plaque (2). Puis guidez le l au
fond de la rainure.
* Faites faire un demi-tour au l autour de l’intérieur de la
languette (3).
* Faites passer le l par le releveur de l (4) de la droite
vers la gauche.
* Tirez le l à l’intérieur du levier de releveur de l jusqu’à
ce qu’il atteigne le chas du levier.
* Guidez le l dans le guide-l (5).
* Faites passer le l par le chas de l’aiguille (6) de l’avant
vers l’arrière. (Reportez-vous à la page suivante pour les
instructions concernant le fonctionnement de l’enleur de
chas d’aiguille automatique.)
IMPORTANT:
Pour vous assurer que la machine est correctement
pourvue de l dans les disques de tension, effectuez cette
simple vérication:
1.) Avec le pied presseur relevé, tirez le l vers l’arrière
de la machine. Vous ne devriez sentir qu’une légère
résistance ainsi qu’une faible ou aucune déflexion
de l’aiguille.
2.) Ensuite, abaisser le pied presseur et tirez de
nouveau le l vers l’arrière de la machine. Cette fois,
vous devriez sentir une forte résistance et beaucoup
plus de déexion de l’aiguille. Si vous ne sentez pas
de résistance, le l a été mal enlé et vous devez le
réenler.
