6. Thoroughly rinse the tank.
7. Fill the water tank with cold fresh water up to the Max level again and repeat steps 2 to 5
without rest to rinse the appliance for a second time.
NOTE: Always rinse the machine by letting it empty at least two full water tanks.
8. Seriatim release the coffee/hot water button and the On/Off button to off position.
Important:
1) Never interrupt the descaling process.
2) Repairs caused by malfunctioning due to scale deposited inside the appliance are not
covered by the guarantee if the descaling process is not carried out properly.
Trouble Shooting
If you have a problem, you may nd the solution in the table below. If the table does not provide
the solution to your problem, please contact with the nearest authorized service agent for
examination, repair or adjustment.
Problem Possible cause Solution
Espresso coffee
does not come out of
the machine.
The coffee is damp. Check that you are using ground
coffee suitable for espresso mak-
ers.
Pressed the coffee too rmly
into the lter.
Press the coffee more lightly in
the lter and change the grind if
necessary.
The holes in the lter holder
spouts are blocked.
Clean the holes in the spouts.
The boiler outlet is blocked. Clean the boiler outlet as indicated
in the chapter ‘cleaning’.
The tank is incorrectly tted
and the valve at the bottom is
not open.
Press the tank lightly so as to open
the valve at the bottom.
The holes in the crema device
are blocked.
Dismantle the crema device and
clean parts thoroughly. See
‘Cleaning’.
