Observe carefully the behaviour of the maize
stalk entering the picking unit. If the stalks
break off and travel together with the cob into
husking unit or they stop near the gear box,
means that picking rollers are not good
adjusted. The gap between both rollers is to
be adjusted by turning the handles (pos. 1,
fig. 10). On the fig. 10 an area “B” is marked,
where the rollers should break off the cobs.
The gap between picking plates (pos. 2,
fig. 10) is achieved by moving the plates after
loosening nuts (pos. 3, fig. 10). Adjust the
gap between picking plates to the thickness
of stalks and cobs . The gap on the upper
end at the gear box should be 2-3 mm wider
to avoid the cobs getting stuck.
If stalks or weeds roll around picking rollers,
cleaning plates must be adjusted (pos. 4, fig.
2). After adjusting them, be careful to leave
the minimum gap between the top of the
picking roller and cleaning plate. After
adjusting fix all the nuts well and set on all
the safety devices.
NO INTERVENTION IS ALLOWED
WHILE THE MACHINE IS IN GEAR. THE
TRACTOR'S ENGINE MUST BE
SWITCHED OFF.
