CAUTION
Certain cleaning agents and solvents damage plastic parts.
Some of
these are: gasoline,
carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning
solvents,
ammonia and house hold
detergents that contain ammonia.
Storage
Store the tool indoors in a place that is inaccessible to children. Keep away from corrosive
agents.
EXTENSION CORDS
WARNING
If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with adequate size conductors
that is capable of carrying the current necessary for your tool must be
used. This will prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of power or overheating. Grounded tools
must use 3-wire extension cords that have 3-prong plugs and receptacles.
NOTE:
The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Remedy
The router does not
work
1. Plug is not plugged into the
power source
1. Plug the cord into the power
source.
2. Switch is in “OFF” position. 2. Put the switch to “ON”
position.
3. The carbon brushes have
worn out completely.
3. Remove the brush caps, and
replace the old brushes with
new ones.
The surface of the
workpiece is not smooth
after cutting
1. The bit is dull. 1. Change to a sharp bit.
2. Routing at an inappropriate
bit speed
2. Select an appropriate bit
speed.
Bit cannot be installed 1. Bit size is inappropriate for
the collet/nut.
1. Use 1/4-in shaft bits with
the 1/4-inch collet; use 1/2-
in shaft bits with the 1/2-inch
collet.
