1st gear (1)
The selector drum 1/3, 5 rotates through 40° down-
wards. This displaces the upper sliding block by 0.3
in (7.5 mm) to the left. The shift collar 1/3 is slid into
the idler gear of the first gear. The sliding blocks in
the selector drum 2/4, R are in the neutral position.
2nd gear (2)
For the change from 1st gear to 2nd gear, the two
selector drums rotate through 40° upwards. This in
turn displaces the lower sliding block in the
selector drum 2/4, R by 0.3 in (7.5 mm) to the left.
The shift collar 2/4 is slid into the idler gear of the
second gear. The sliding blocks in the selector
drum 1/3, 5 are in the neutral position.,
