The needle is sharp; use care to avoid injury. Keep the machine away from children.
Keep the machine locked when not in use. Operate for 10 seconds, then pause for 5 seconds.
Ensure spring is in place before installing bobbin; thread from top right of bobbin or spool.
Pass thread through eyelet, over tension control, and use threader for needle eye.
Turn tension control slightly left if stitching is too tight.
Turn tension control slightly right if stitching is too loose.
Ensure the machine is locked, raise the needle arm, and place fabric under the fastening plate.
Thread two inches of thread through the needle.
Unlock, press power switch, and guide fabric with left hand for direction and stitch width.
Raise needle arm, pull thread out about three inches, then cut.
Lift fastening plate and carefully remove cloth without pulling the seam thread.
Loosen set screw, remove old needle, install new #14 DHx1 needle with flat side facing front.
Unlock machine, pull/press button, ensure locked position before replacing batteries.
Remove bobbin, slide spool onto extension spindle, and connect to bobbin shaft.
