15. MAINTENANCE
1. Therearenocricaladjustmentsorneedfor‘tweak’andonlyvery
lilemaintenance.Cleanthedrivebeltoccasionallybydrawingit
throughapieceofsossueorlinenmoistenedwithlighterfuel.
Thesamematerialmaybeusedtocleantheperipheryofthemotor
and driven pulleys.
2. Thesuspensiondampeningbathisautomacallysealedwhenthe
sub-chassisislockeddownanddoesnotrequiremaintenance.
3. Replacethedrivebeltaer1000hoursuse.Areplacementbeltis
availablefromSME.
4. Thelifeofthesuspensionbandswilldependonclimaccondions.
If eventually they should stretch beyond further adjustment,
replacementsareavailablefromSME.
5. Changingthesuspensionbandsissimple.Unscrewandremovethe
uppergallerycoverfromthetopofthesuspensioncolumnandli
othelowergallerycover.Removetheoldband(s)andaachthe
newband(s)ontotheanchorstuds.Replacethecoversandre-check
thesuspensionheightwiththeheightsenggauge.
6. The motor retaining and centralising bands will last indenitely.
Howevershouldtheyrequirereplacingrefertotheillustraonon
page9.
7. Thereare no user-serviceable parts insidethe speed control unit
or power unit. A safety fuse is located below the mains socket,
its replacement should only be undertaken by qualied service
personnel.
