4.3 What to do if...
The refrigerator does not cool down:
• Make sure that the plug is inserted
properly in the power socket.
• Make sure that there are no blown fuses
or that the main power switch has not
tripped.
The refrigerator does not cool sufficiently:
• The refrigerator is exposed to direct
sunlight.
• The temperature is not set to “Cold”.
• The refrigerator is too full.
• The door has not been closed properly.
• The refrigerator has been positioned
close to a heat source.
• Hot foods have been placed inside the
refrigerator compartment.
• The door is opened and closed too
often.
The food inside the refrigerator
compartment freezes:
• The temperature is set to “Coldest”.
• Foods with high water content or
vegetables are placed close to the cold
air outlet slot.
Condensation forms on the outside of the
appliance:
• Condensation may form on the door
seal when the outside humidity is very
high. Remove the condensation with a
dry cloth.
• Condensation may form on the outside
of the refrigerator when the temperature
is set to “Coldest”. Set it to “Normal”.
Use a soft cloth to remove the
condensation.
Condensation forms inside the appliance:
• Remove the condensation with a dry
cloth.
• The door is not closed tightly.
The door is opened and closed too often
or is kept open for too long.
• High external humidity.
• A large number of vegetables with a
high water content are being stored.
• Make sure that the packaging of the
foods is not trapped between the door
and the door seal so as not to create a
gap when the door is closed.
• The humidity in the fruit and vegetable
drawer is higher than in the other
drawers. This is not a defect.
• Wrap the vegetables in cling film to
prevent condensation. If condensation
forms frequently, water is likely to have
built up inside the fruit and vegetable
drawer. Use a dry cloth to remove the
water.
