The Smeg FQ55UFX is a refrigerator with separate refrigerating and freezing chambers. The refrigerating chamber is suitable for storing fruits, vegetables, beverages, and other short-term food items. It features adjustable glass shelves for flexible storage space. The freezing chamber is designed for long-term storage of frozen foods and ice making. It is equipped with an automatic defrosting function based on the air-cooling principle. The appliance includes an ice-making machine, which requires connection to a potable water supply.

- Water Pressure: The minimum inlet water pressure for the ice maker is 147kPa, and the maximum is 834kPa.
- Temperature Settings:
- Refrigerator Chamber: Default set temperature is 41°F (5°C). The temperature can be adjusted in 1°F increments. When the set temperature reaches 34°F (1°C), pressing the button again will switch it to 44°F (7°C).

- Overall Cleaning:
- Dust behind the refrigerator and on the ground should be cleaned regularly to improve cooling efficiency.

- The freezer should be cleaned with clean water and a dry cloth.

The process involves shutting off the main water supply, locating a cold water supply valve, connecting the water supply to the water valve, flushing the line, and then connecting the water tubes to the refrigerator's water connector.
- Defrosting: The refrigerator has an automatic defrosting function. Any frost formed can also be manually removed by disconnecting the appliance from power and wiping with a dry towel.
- Out of Operation:
- Power Failure: During a power failure, minimize door openings and avoid adding fresh food to preserve existing contents.
- Long-term Non-use: Unplug and clean the appliance, then leave the doors open to prevent odors.
