Why won't my Snap-On FJ300 lift or sustain the load?
    • A
      Andrew FrancisAug 5, 2025
If your Snap-On Jack won't lift or hold the expected weight, here's what might be happening: * **Release valve isn't tight:** Ensure the handle is correctly inserted into the yoke, engaging the release valve. Turn the handle clockwise until it stops, then try pumping again. * **Overload:** You might be exceeding the jack's capacity. Double-check the weight you're lifting and use a jack with the appropriate rating.

How to fix Snap-On FJ300 that will not lift to full height?
    • D
      Derek RiceAug 15, 2025
If your Snap-On Jacks isn't reaching its full height, it could be due to: * Air trapped in the hydraulic system. Unfortunately, the solution is described on page 6, step 3 of this manual. * Insufficient hydraulic fluid in the reservoir. To resolve this, remove the reservoir fill plug and ensure the fluid level reaches the top of the internal cylinder when the lift arm is fully lowered. More information can be found on page 9.

What to do if Snap-On FJ300 will not lower all the way?

      April DavisAug 26, 2025
If your Snap-On Jacks won't fully lower without a load, it could be due to a few reasons: * Too much fluid in the reservoir. To fix this, remove the reservoir fill plug and ensure the fluid level is equal to the top of the internal cylinder when the lift arm and handle are fully lowered. Remove any excess fluid if it's above the internal cylinder. More information can be found on page 9. * Mechanical restriction within the chassis assembly. The solution is described in step 1 of the WEEKLY Maintenance section of this manual, on page 8.
