How to fix Snapper E281320BE, E331520KVE Lawn Mower engine that will not start using recoil starter?
- SStephanie Spencer DDSAug 17, 2025
If your Snapper Lawn Mower engine won't start using the recoil starter, it might be due to several reasons. First, ensure the fuel tank isn't empty by filling it with fresh fuel. If that's not the issue, the engine may need choking; move the choke control to the “CHOKE” position. Also, check the spark plug wire and ensure it's securely placed onto the spark plug. Verify the parking brake is engaged and the ignition switch is in the RUN position. If none of these steps work, there may be a faulty parking brake, blade, or ignition switch, and you should contact an authorized SNAPPER dealer.
