Remove the machine from its container; the battery requires charging and installation.
Take the battery out of its compartment before starting the charging process.
Place the battery in a well-ventilated area on a level, non-concrete surface.
Remove cell caps and fill each cell with electrolyte to the proper level.
Connect the battery charger to the battery terminals, red to positive and black to negative.
Slow charge the battery at 2 amps for 2 hours to achieve a full charge.
After charging, verify and adjust electrolyte levels to the proper mark.
Place the cell caps back onto the battery after verifying the electrolyte level.
Install the charged battery into the designated power unit compartment.
Connect positive cable first, then negative cable. Apply grease to terminals.
Fill fuel tank with clean fuel, check oil level, and set fuel tank selector valve.
Adjust mower deck side-to-side and front-to-rear for proper levelness and pitch.
Check and fill hydraulic fluid reservoirs to the correct level using specified oil.
Adjust machine tracking using twin stick controls if it does not drive straight.
Perform procedure to purge air from hydraulic drive systems if pulling issues occur.
