  If your Snapper Lawn Mower engine starts hard or runs poorly, try these solutions: * Service the pre-cleaner and/or replace the air filter element. * When cranking the engine, ensure the choke is in the CLOSED position. Once the engine starts, set the choke to OPEN. Note that a warm engine might not need choking. * Clean, gap, or replace the spark plug if it's faulty, fouled, or incorrectly gapped.
