SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR
• The appliance has a safety device, which protects the
appliance from overheating.
• If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself
on again, disconnect it from the mains supply, and wait
for approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting. If the
machine does not start again seek authorised technical
assistance.
CLEANING
BETWEEN COFFEES
• We recommend always keeping the coffee machine clean
for the best coffee experience.
Empty the coffee grounds from the lter by tapping it out
or using a spoon or utensil.
Clean with warm water or a ne-bristled brush to remove
any remaining coffee grounds.
Wipe the shower (the lter holder housing on the
machine) with a damp cloth to remove any leftover
brewed coffee.
CAUTION: Do not touch any parts that come into contact
with the hot coffee directly after brewing (lter, shower) as
they will be very hot.
BASIC CLEANING
• Unplug the appliance from the mains and let it cool down
before cleaning.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth impregnated with a
few drops of detergent and dry it afterwards.
• Do not use solvents or products with an acidic or alkaline
pH factor such as bleach, or abrasive products to clean
the appliance.
• Do not allow water or other liquids to enter through the
openings to avoid damage to the appliance's operating
parts.
• The following pieces may be washed in a dishwasher
(using a soft cleaning program) or soapy hot water:
- Water tank
- Drip tray
- Drip tray grill
- Coffee lters
• Then, dry all parts thoroughly before assembly and
storage.
STEAM PIPE CLEANING
WARNING! All parts of the steam wand may be very hot.
• It is advisable to clean the steam pipe after steaming to
prevent dirt deposits and before turning off the machine.
• To do this, remove the steam pipe cover.
• Place a glass with a little water under the pipe and
immerse the pipe in the water.
• Run hot water through the pipe, following the "hot water"
instructions.
• Use a cloth to dry the pipe and put the cover back on.
• If no steam comes out, it may be because dried milk is
clogging the outlet. In this case, carefully use a needle to
unclog the tip of the steam pipe.
• Once clean, rinse with running tap water and reassemble.
HOW TO DEAL WITH LIME SCALE INCRUSTATIONS
• For the appliance to work correctly it should be kept free
of limescale or magnesium incrustations caused by the
use of hard water.
• To prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the use of
water with low lime or magnesium mineralisation.
• However, if it is not possible to use the kind of water
recommended above, you should periodically remove the
limescale from the appliance:
- Every 6 weeks if the water is “very hard”.
- Every 12 weeks if the water is “hard”.
A specic anti-lime scale product should be used on this
kind of product.
• Homemade solutions are not recommended in the
decaling of this appliance, such as the use of vinegar.
