An access authorization code is required to enter the setting mode, and it is recommended to change the preset code during initial start-up.

Important Usage Notes:

  • The time between the first two tanning sessions must be at least 48 hours. No additional sunbath should be taken on the same day.
  • Increased tanning requires an extension of exposure time, but there's a limit to the degree of tanning achievable without health risks.
  • Make-up and sun screen products should be removed before tanning to prevent skin damage and allergic reactions.
  • Certain medications can increase skin sensitivity to UV light; consult a physician if in doubt.
  • Contact lens wearers should use special protective goggles.
  • Protective goggles (Order No. 84592-..) must be used to protect eyes from UV radiation.
  • The device must not be used by individuals with very sensitive skin (skin type I), acute sunburn, skin cancer, or those at increased risk of skin cancer.
  • Consult a physician if unexpected effects like itching occur within 48 hours of the first session, or if stubborn swelling, sores, or pigmented moles form on the skin.
  • The device must not be used if a filter panel is missing or damaged, or if the timer is defective.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance and care are crucial for the satisfactory performance and longevity of the Soltron M-50 Caipiranha. The manual provides detailed instructions and schedules for various maintenance tasks:

  • Cleaning:
    • Acrylic Glass Surfaces: Must be disinfected after every tanning session using the specially developed fast disinfectant cleaner Antifect®. Do not rub with a dry cloth to avoid scratching.
    • Low-Pressure Lamps: Clean with plain water (damp cloth).
    • High-Pressure Lamps: Clean bulb with spirit if necessary.
    • Filter Panels: Clean with plain water (damp cloth).
    • Filters in Sunbed Base: Dry clean with a vacuum cleaner. Moist clean with water and detergent (dishwasher safe).
    • Filter Mats in Canopy and Shoulder Tanner: Dry clean with a vacuum cleaner. Moist clean with water and a mild detergent (not dishwasher safe).
    • Plastic Surfaces: Use warm water and a leather cloth. Avoid aggressive, alcohol-containing cleaning agents or essential oils.
    • Interior of the Device: Clean regularly, as fluff is flammable.
    • Accent Lighting: Clean/replace accent lighting in canopy and front panel.
  • Replacement Schedules:
    • UV Low-Pressure Lamps: Replace after 500 operating hours.
    • UV High-Pressure Lamps: Replace after 500 operating hours.
    • Shoulder Tanner Lamps: Replace after 500 operating hours.
    • Filter Mats: Replace after 50 operating hours.
    • Acrylic Glass Panel: Scheduled replacement after 1500 operating hours.
    • Accent Lighting: Scheduled replacement after 1000 operating hours (white, blue).
    • Fans: Scheduled maintenance after 40000 operating hours.
  • De-energizing for Maintenance: The device must be de-energized and secured against accidental re-switching before performing any maintenance work that requires opening the device. This involves switching off all live lines and, if possible, removing fuses. Prohibition signs must be securely mounted.
  • Error Codes: The display shows error codes to simplify fault localization. Faults are acknowledged by pressing the START/STOP button. If a fault cannot be eliminated, Customer Service should be contacted.
  • Spare Parts: Only genuine spare parts of the same type must be used. Using other parts voids CE conformity and excludes liability for damages.
  • Repetitive Inspections: The device must be subject to repetitive inspections by customer service or an approved specialized company every 12 months (from commissioning) to maintain its proper condition.

The manufacturer, JK-Sales GmbH, provides a 24-month guarantee from the date of purchase, covering defects in the tanning system, excluding consumable parts like lamps, starters, and the acrylic-glass tanning bed.
