To select the text mode
You can select from a variety of languages for
displaying the text information on a disc or an
USB device. Use buttons on the unit for the
operation.
1 Press /


to turn o the system.
2 Press SEARCH


e language list appears. e languages you
can select vary depending on the country or
region specication.
3 Press /

to select the language, and
then press ENTER


Notes on the display information
• Characters that cannot be displayed appear as “_”.
• e information on the disc or USB device may not be
displayed correctly in the selected text mode.
• e following are not displayed:
– total playing time for a CD-DA disc depending on
the play mode.
– total playing time for an “ATRAC”/MP3 disc.
• e following are not displayed correctly:
– elapsed playing time of an “ATRAC” le or MP3 le
encoded using a VBR (variable bit rate).
– folder and le names that do not follow either the
ISO9660 Level 1, Level 2 or Joliet in the expansion
format.
• e following are displayed:
– ID3 tag information for “ATRAC” les and MP3 les
when ID3 version 1 and version 2 tags are used.
– up to 62 characters of ID3 tag information.
