Why is the battery indicator incorrect on my Sony Digital Camera?

If the battery remaining indicator on your Sony Digital Camera is incorrect, or the power runs out quickly despite the indicator showing sufficient battery, there might be several reasons: 1. If you're using the camera in a very cold place, install charged batteries. 2. If the batteries are discharged, wipe any dirt off them with a dry cloth. 3. If the battery contacts or terminals are dirty, clean them. 4. If using nickel-metal hydride batteries, they may have a “memory effect”; fully charge them to restore their condition. 5. A mismatch in the remaining battery time information can occur, so replace the batteries with new ones. 6. If the batteries are dead, replace them with new ones.
