# Do not open the cabinet. Refer servicing to qualified personnet only.
e Should any liquid or solid object fall into the cabinet, disconnect the power
source and have the unit checked by qualified personnel before operating it
any further.
Operate the unit only on 6 V DC. For AC operation, use only the supplied AC-
D4L AC power adaptor. :
Do not use any other AC power adaptor as it may cause malfunction.
Do not install the unit near a heat source such as a radiator or an air duct, or in
a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or
shock.
Clean the cabinet, panel and controls with a soft dry cloth, or a soft cloth lightly
moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of solvent, such
as alcohol or benzine, which might damage the finish.
Before you record one-time events, make a trial recording to make sure that
the recorder is working perfectly.
Note on AC power adaptor
If an AC power adaptor not manufactured by Sony is used, a fuse must be
installed in the battery cord and the polarity of the plug must be as illustrated.
