ADJUSTMENTS
3-1. MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENTS
PRECAUTION
. Clean the following parts with a denatured-
alcohol-moistened swab:
playback head pinch roller
tape guide rubber belts
capstan idlers
. Demagnetize the playback head with a head
demagnetizer.
. Do not use a magnetized screwdriver for the
adjustments.
. After the adjustments, apply suitable locking
compound to the parts adjusted.
. The adjustments should be performed with the
tated power supply voltage unless otherwsie
noted.

2. If the specified back-tension torque is not ob-
tained, change the hooking position.
