Use the appropriate ac power adaptor listed below, available in
the countries where the set is used. First, connect the adaptor to
the cassette player DC IN 3 V jack, and then to a wall outlet.

® Before connecting, be sure to read the instruction manual for
the adaptor.
@ When the ac power adaptor is connected to the cassette player
DC IN 3 V jack, the internal batteries (if present) are automatically
disconnected.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK
Install the Sony Rechargeable Battery Pack BP-33 (optional) into
the Battery Compartment instead of the batteries.
Before using, charge the battery pack as follows:

Lay the ribbon.
@ Insert the BP-33 with the label side up and with correct polarity
as illustrated.
@ Connect the optional AC Power Adaptor as illustrated. Charg-
ing will begin.
® Charging time is about 4.5 hours.
© When charging is completed, remove the ac power adaptor to
avoid overcharging.
@ The cassette player can be operated while charging, although
more charging time will be needed.
@ The fully charged BP-33 allows approx. 3 hours of continuous
playback.
