open
the
Battery
Compartment
lid.

batteries

designation
R6
(size
AA)
with
correct
polarity
as
illustrated.

flat
sides
of
the
batteries
press
against
the
springs.

Lay
the
ribbon
underneath
the
batteries.

ribbon
aids
in
removing
the
batteries.

The
set
cannot
be
operated
on
the
internal
batteries
when
either
the
ac
power
adaptor
or
car
battery
cord
is
connected
to
the
set.

the
set
is
not
to
be
used
fora
long
period
of
time
or
is
to
be
operated
extensively
on
other
power
sources,
remove
the
batteries
to
avoid
set
damage
caused
by
battery
leakage
and
cor-
rosion.

condition
Check
the
battery
condition

observing
the
OPERATION
indi-
cator.
If
the
batteries
become
weak
while
the
cassette
player
is
in
operation,
the
indicator
light
will
glow
faintly.
When
the
batteries
are
exhausted
completely,
the
indicator
will
not
light.

Playback
with
weak
batteries
will
cause
weak
and
distorted
sound,
and
it
will
be
necessary
to
replace
all
the
batteries
with
fresh
new
ones.
