2. Acquire the installation key.
Register the purchase code (purchase key) and the device information file in the ULMS website to acquire the
installation key (RQ_LIC.DAT) of the software license.
3. Activate the software license.
Access the web menu on the board and upload the install key (RQ_LIC.DAT).
Downloading the device information file
Procedure
1. Connect the USB memory to the USB connector of the PC.
2. Open the Web menu. (Refer to “1-14-1. Displaying Web Menu”.)
3. Click [License] tab.
4. Click [Download] in Device Information File to download the DEVICE.DAT file to the USB memory.
Obtaining the installation key
Procedure
1. Connect the USB memory that stores the downloaded device information file to the PC.
2. Enter “https://ulms.sony.net/” in the address bar to access Upgrade and License Management Suite (ULMS).

• User registration of Sony Professional ID is required to use ULMS.
• For details of ULMS operation, refer to the ULMS online help.
3. Register the purchase code.
Tip
For how to obtain the purchase code, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
4. Upload the device information file downloaded to the USB memory for the registered purchase code.
Note
If the device information file acquiring procedure is displayed, skip it.
5. Download the installation key (RQ_LIC.DAT) to the USB memory.
