Door Interlock
SORVALL®
Centrifuges
Two door
latches ensure
operator
safety
by
keeping
the
door
closed and
latched until the
rotor
has
come
to
a
complete
stop.
The latch
mechanism is
position-sensitive and
will
not
latch
unless the
door
is
closed.
In
case
of
electrical
failure,
there
is
a
mechanical override
to
the
solenoid
lever
so
that
the door
release
knob
can
be
operated
(see
figure
3-3). For
details
on
the
door interlock
circuit,
refer to
paragraph
6-10.
