If
the
rotor
speed
exceeds
1500rpm,
stop
the
run
in
progress by
turning
the
speed
control
knob
to
off.
If
the
circuit
did
not
"trip"
at
the
+4.0
Vdc
limit,
remove
the
rotor
and
regap
the
set
screw
by
turning
it 1
/8 turn
clockwise.
Retest the
gap
setting
again
and continue
adjusting
the
gap
until the
rotor trips
at
+4.0 Vdc.
NOTE
Be
sure
to
replace
the
foam insulation insert and
rubber
gyro
boot
cover
after
each adjustment
as they
affect the imbalance
calibration
sensitivity.

12. Replace
the
"fail"
tube
with
the
"pass"
tube.
13.
Set the
speed
control
knob to 3200
rpm
setting.
14.
Set the
timer control
knob
to
the
"HOLD"
position
to
start
the
centrifuge.
The
rotor
should
begin
accelerating towards
3200
rpm.
NOTE
The
FAULT LED
indicator
on
the
front
console should
not
illuminate
as
the
rotor
accelertates
between
500
rpm
and
1000
rpm.
15.
If
the
rotor
speed
exceeds
1500
rpm,
stop
the
run
in
progress by
turning
the
speed
control
knob
to
off.
If
the
circuit
"tripped"
with the
"pass"
tube
installed,
remove
the
rotor and
regap
the
set
screw
by
turning
1/8
turn
counter clockwise. Retest
again
and continue
adjusting
the
gap
until the
rotor
does
not
"trip"
at
+0.5
Vdc
with
the
"pass"
tube
installed.
NOTE
Be
sure
to
replace
the foam
insulation
insert
and rubber
gyro
boot
cover
after
each readjustment as they
affect the
imbalance
calibration sensitivity.
16.
Continue
adjusting
the
gap
of
the
set screw
until
the
"fail"
tube
trips
the
circuit
at
a
+4.0
Vdc
setting
and
a
"pass"
tube
runs
at
a +0.5
Vdc
setting
without
any
further
gap
readjustments.
This will
ensure
that the
circuit
can
be
calibrated.
