1. Turn both the electric and LP gas water heater switch(es) to OFF. Set the water heater
bypass valves to : Refer to the appropriate water heater bypass diagram for
your model.
2. Level the RV and drain the fresh water system. See Draining the Fresh Water System.
3. Close the low point drain valves and the fresh water tank drain valve.
4. Pour the sanitizer solution into the gravity ll inlet on the outside of the RV. Make sure
the fresh water tank drain is closed.
5. Finish lling the water tank with fresh water. Water can be poured into the gravity ll
inlet or it can be power lled through the utility center. Instructions on how to ll the
tank both ways can be found previously.
6. Turn o and disconnect the hose from the water source rst, then disconnect from the
utility center. Blue valve position on the utility center will not matter for next steps.
7. Siphon valve at the water pump should be OFF, and the water tank shuto valve ON.
8. Turn the water pump ON. Water will be drawn from the tank into the water lines.
9. Open a hot water faucet until water begins to ow continuously and a chlorine smell is
noticeable then close the faucet. Repeat this for all hot water faucets in the RV. Include
outside shower faucets (if so equipped). Include outside kitchen faucet if equipped.
10. Open a cold water faucet until water begins to ow continuously and a chlorine smell is
noticeable then close the faucet. Repeat this for all cold water faucets in the RV. Include
outside shower faucets (if so equipped). Include outside kitchen faucet if equipped.
11. Turn the water pump OFF.
12. Let the solution remain in the tank and lines for at least four hours when disinfecting
with 50-PPM residual chlorine. If a shorter time period is desired, then a 100-PPM
chlorine concentration should be permitted to sit in the system for at least one hour.
13. After sanitizing, drain the chlorine solution from the fresh water system. Refer to
Draining the Fresh Water System section.
14. Pressure ll the fresh water tank (refer to previous instructions). Set the water heater
bypass valves to . Refer to the appropriate water heater bypass diagram for
your model.
15. When water heater is full of water, turn the water heater power ON. Disconnect any
pressurized water source from the utility center. The water tank shuto valve (at the
pump) should be turned ON. The siphon valve should be turned OFF. Turn the water
pump ON. Water will be pumped from the water tank into the water lines of the RV.
16. Open each faucet one by one (both hot and cold) and allow water to ow until the
chlorine smell is gone, then turn each faucet o. Include the outside shower (if so
equipped) and the outside kitchen faucet if equipped.
17. With all faucets closed, turn the pump OFF.
 If a chlorine taste lingers in the water, ush the water sys-
tem with a solution consisting of one-quart vinegar to ve gallons of
clean water. Re-ush as necessary. The vinegar solution may dam-
age the water heater so it must be bypassed again before performing
this operation.
