2.2 General safety instruction
about the wire rope use
Never touch the rope (synthetic or steel)
when it is under load.
Wearing gloves is mandatory for any handling
of the rope.
Never handle the rope when an operator is in
control of the hardware.
Make sure the rope is winding properly and
firmly on the drum.
Make sure the cable does not rub on any
rough surface or sharp edges.
If you have any doubts, please contact our
technical department before any rope
changes.
In this manual, only the criteria for depositing
a synthetic rope are detailed.
For inspection of the steel wire rope, refer to
ISO 4309.
Never use a synthetic rope if a steel wire rope
has already been used. The friction marks left
by the steel wire rope would damage the
synthetic rope and affect its strength.

Ne jamais toucher le câble (synthétique ou
acier) lorsqu'il est sous charge.
Le port de gants est obligatoire pour toute
manipulation du câble.
Ne jamais manipuler le câble lorsque qu'un
opérateur est à la commande du matériel.
S'assurer que le câble est enroulé
correctement et fermement sur le tambour.
S'assurer que le câble ne frotte sur aucune
surface rugueuse ou bords tranchants.

changement de câble.
Dans ce manuel, seul les critères de dépose
d’un câble synthétique sont détaillés.
Pour l’inspection du câble acier, se reporter à
la norme ISO 4309.
Ne jamais utiliser un câble synthétique si un
câble acier a déjà été utilisé. Les traces de
frottement laissées par le câble acier
détérioreraient le câble synthétique et
affecterait sa résistance.
