5 OPERATION PROCEDURES
5.1 Introduction
Operators and service engineers must be familiar with all safety aspects. To
ensure the safety of the personnel, you must read and understand the chapter
Safety (on page 11) before performing any tasks on the dock leveller.
5.2 Switch on
5.2.1 Start
To start the dock leveller:
c Caution
Only start the machine if no padlock or tag-out sign is attached.
1. Switch on the main power supply by switching the main switch to "1".
2. Briefly push [deck up] to activate the control current.
d Warning
Do not use the main switch during normal operation. Only switch to "0" in case of
an emergency or a dangerous situation.
5.2.2 Restart after emergency stop or power loss
To start after an emergency stop or a power loss:
1. Check that it is safe to restart the dock leveller.
2. Check that there is no danger for people or cargo.
3. Switch on the main power supply by switching the main switch to "1".
4. Briefly push [deck up] to activate the control current.
