Keep body away from chain. Hold saw correctly. Wear safety gear. Do not operate in trees or on ladders.
Understand kickback causes. Maintain firm grip, do not overreach, use correct bars/chains, sharpen correctly.
Mount bar and chain carefully, ensuring correct direction and fit. Check chain brake is disengaged.
Handle cables in dry conditions. Use qualified electrician for mains connection. Use correct extension leads.
Connect extension lead, secure saw, disengage brake, hold firmly, press safety button and switch.
Release switch. Unplug extension lead from mains, then disconnect machine power cable.
Use only for felling, bucking, delimbing trees. Avoid improper uses like trimming hedges or carving.
Consider tree lean, branches, wind. Remove debris. Plan escape path. Notify utility companies if contact occurs.
Make notch 1/3 tree diameter, perpendicular to fall direction. Make lower horizontal cut first.
Make back cut 50mm higher than notch, parallel to it. Leave hinge wood. Use wedges if needed.
