6.4 CLEAN SILENCER AND ENGINE
Silencermustbecleanedwhentheengineiscold.
a)Useajetofcompressedairorabrushtoremoveanydebrisanddirtthatcouldcausearefromthe
silencer and its protective cover.
b)Cleanthecylinderandcylinderheadnstoeaseenginecoolingandpreventoverheating.
c)Cleantheplasticcomponentswithaspongesoakedinwateranddetergent.
6.5 AIR FILTER CHECK AND MAINTENANCE
The ltering part should be always very clean and should be changed in case it is broken or
damaged.
a)followuptheproceduresasshowninparagraph5.1.2.untilyouremoveboththelters(3and4)
b)closethesuction/intakepipe(5)usingaclothtoavoidsomedirttogoin.
c)Blowboththeltersfromtheinternalsideusingthecompressedairinordertoremoveanydust
and rubbish.
d)cleantheinternallterhousingfromdust,rubbishanddirt.pleasebecarefulnottopushanydirt,
dust or rubbish into the suction pipe.
e)completethere-assemblyofthelterset,followingtheinstructionsdescribedinpar.5.1.2.
6.6 SPARK PLUG SERVICE
a)Removethesparkplug(1)usingasparkplugsocketwrench(2).
b)Cleantheelectrodes(3)withametalbrushandremoveanycarbonaceousbuild-up.
c)Usingathicknessgauge,checkfortherightgap(0.7-0.8mm)betweentheelectrodes.
d)Installthesparkplug(1)andtightenwithasocketwrench(2).
Replacethesparkplugiftheelectrodesareburntoriftheporcelainisbrokenordamaged.
Firehazard!Donotchecktheignitionsystemwithsparkplugremoved.
Useonlysparkplugsoftherecommendedtype(see8.1).
7.TROUBLESHOOTING
