Sharpening the Cutting Blade
See "Working Technique" for notes and
sharpening intervals.
N Use whetstone to sharpen both
sides of the blade. Dabei

Adjusting Play between Cutting and
Anvil Blades
Play must be readjusted when the
cutting blade can be pushed sideways
away from the anvil blade.
N Loosen the screw (1) on the locking
segment (2).
N Fit setting tool (3) on adjusting
nut (4).
N Carefully tighten the adjusting
nut (4) until the cutting blade (5) can
no longer be pushed away from the
anvil blade and there is no play.
N Tighten down the screw (1) on the
locking segment (2).
Adjusting Contact Point between Cutting
and Anvil Blades
The contact point must be adjusted
when the tips of the cutting and anvil
blades no longer make sufficient contact
even though the cutting blade has been
resharpened regularly.
N Pull the trigger twice in quick
succession and hold it there.
Three rapid beeps sound four times in
consecutive bursts.
The cutting blade then opens and closes
in 3 small stages of 0.8 mm at a time.
Wait until the tips of the cutting and anvil
blades are exactly on top of one another.
N Release the trigger – the position of
the cutting blade is stored
automatically.
Replacing the Cutting Blade
The cutting blade must be replaced:
– if damaged
– if the cutting and anvil blades can no
longer be properly adjusted
