Remove the cutting blade
N Remove the E-clip (1).
N Push out the pivot pin (2).
Do not reuse the E-clip (1), discard it.
Check pivot pin for wear. Fit a new pivot
pin (2) if necessary.
N Take out the screw (3) and remove
the locking segment (4).
N Unscrew the adjusting nut (5) and
remove the cutting blade (6).
N Remove the grease nipple (7) from
the blade (6).
N Wipe away surplus grease.
Fit the new cutting blade
N Lubricate bearing point of blade (6)
and grease nipple (7) with grease.
N Fit grease nipple (7) in the
blade (6).
N Fit cutting blade (6) on the anvil
blade (8).
N Fit adjusting nut (5) on grease
nipple (7).
N Go to "Adjusting play between
cutting and anvil blades".
Adjusting Play between Cutting and
Anvil Blades
N Fit setting tool on adjusting nut (5).
N Turn the adjusting nut (5) until the
cutting blade (6) slides past the
front third of the anvil blade (7) with
slight resistance as it closes (but no
further than the raised edge
(arrow)).
N Open the cutting blade (6).
N Fit the locking segment (4) in the
adjusting nut (5) and secure it with
screw (3).
