Always remove the activation key before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.
Condition LEDs on the
blower
Cause Remedy
3 LEDs flash
red.
Malfunction in
blower.
► Do not attempt to use. The blower has a malfunction and
must be checked by a servicing dealer.
Blower does not start
when switched on.
Activation key not
fully inserted.
► Remove the activation key, @ 13.2.
► Visually check the electrical contacts of the activation key.
► Reinsert the activation key, @ 13.1.
1 LED flashes
green.
Less than 20%
charge remaining.
► Charge the blower, @ 10.
3 LEDs glow
red.
Integrated battery
too hot.
► Remove the activation key, @ 13.2.
► Allow the blower to cool down gradually at ambient
temperatures of about 50°F to 68°F (10°C to 20°C).
Moisture in blower. ► Allow the blower to dry.
Blower cuts out
during operation.
3 LEDs glow
red.
Integrated battery
too hot.
► Remove the activation key, @ 13.2.
► Allow the blower to cool down gradually at ambient
temperatures of about 50°F to 68°F (10°C to 20°C).
Electrical
malfunction.
► Switch off the blower. Wait at least 5seconds and switch it
back on, @ 14.
Runtime is too short. Blower not fully
charged.
► Charge the blower, @ 10.
Useful life of
integrated battery
has been reached or
exceeded.
► Have the blower checked by an authorized STIHL servicing
dealer.
Integrated battery
too hot / too cold.
► Allow the blower to warm up or cool down gradually at
ambient temperatures of about 50°F to 68°F (10°C to
20°C).
Blower is not being
charged.
3 LEDs glow
red.
Integrated battery

► Allow the blower to warm up or cool down gradually at
ambient temperatures of about 50°F to 68°F (10°C to
20°C).
► Operate the charger only in enclosed, dry rooms at ambient
temperatures of 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C).
