Running time is too short
Battery is not fully charged Charge the battery

Blades sticking / dirty Clean the blades and spray them with
STIHL resin solvent
Battery jams when being inserted in power
tool / charger
Guides dirty Carefully clean the guides
Battery is not charge even though the light
emitting diode on the charger lights up green
Battery too hot / too cold
(1 light emitting diode on battery lights
up red)
Allow the battery to cool down / Warm up
the battery slowly at a temperature
between 15°C and 20°C.
Operate the charger indoors only in dry
locations at an ambient temperature
between +5°C and +40°C.
Light emitting diode on charge flashes red
No electrical contact between charger
and battery
Remove the battery and refit it properly
Battery faulty
(4 light emitting diodes on battery flash
red for about 5 seconds)
Install new battery
