Bucking Lying Logs
: Set the required length (a) on a flat surface by turning the rotary knob
(length between 25 cm and 100 cm, max. 150 cm) - laser beam must
be visible at the right-hand end - as shown in the illustration.
: Start the saw, hold it at a right angle in the horizontal and vertical
directions - laser beam must be visible at the right-hand end of the
log - as shown in the illustration.
: Mark the log with the saw or perform bucking cut - perform cuts in the
right sequence (compression side first, then tension side).
The accuracy of repeat cuts depends on how carefully the saw is set up,
as well as the condition and position of the log.
