● Drive the ride-on mower onto the lawn.
Do not engage the mowing deck in tall
grass or when set to the lowest cutting
level. Only engage the mowing deck
when the machine is already on the
area to be worked.
● Forwards mowing:
Select the forward driving direction
(Ö 8.9), then engage the mowing deck
by pressing the mowing deck switch or
mowing deck button. (Ö 8.5), (Ö 8.6)
Reverse mowing:
Select the reverse driving direction
(Ö 8.9) and briefly press the reverse
mowing safety switch (Ö 8.8) once,
then engage the mowing deck by
pressing the mowing deck switch or
mowing deck button within 6 seconds.

During mowing:
● Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2), (Ö 8.3)
● Always adapt the driving speed to the
grass height/cutting level.
A low driving speed should be selected
when mowing tall grass/at a low cutting
level.
Changing the driving direction with the
mowing deck engaged:
● For reverse mowing, briefly press the
reverse mowing safety switch once
within the designated time window
(5 seconds/1 second after switching).

● Bring the machine to a standstill on the
lawn and set the required driving
direction using the driving direction
selector lever. (Ö 8.9)
● Continue mowing.
Disengage the mowing deck in the
following sequence:
● Drive onto an area of grass which has
already been mown or select the
highest cutting level. (Ö 8.15)
● Disengage the mowing deck by
pressing the mowing deck switch or
mowing deck button. (Ö 8.5), (Ö 8.6)
13.8 Programming automatic
disengagement of the mowing deck
The electromagnetic blade clutch
can be programmed so that the
mowing deck is automatically
disengaged when the grass catcher box is
full. This enhances operating convenience
as blockage of the discharge chute is
prevented.
● Stop the engine. (Ö 13.3)
● Turn the ignition key to the "ignition on"
position. (Ö 8.1)
● Wait for the electronics self-diagnosis –
do not press any buttons.
Activating automatic disengagement:
● Press the reverse mowing safety switch
and actuate the drive pedal at the same
time for 5 seconds.
A short beep signals that automatic
operation is switched on.
● The current setting is permanently
saved.
Deactivating automatic
disengagement:
● Set the driving direction selector lever
to forwards.
● Press the reverse mowing safety switch
and actuate the drive pedal at the same
time for 5 seconds.
Three beeps in quick succession signal
that automatic operation is switched off.
● The current setting is permanently
saved.
Programming automatic
disengagement using the Mode button
(only with RT 6112 C, RT 6112 ZL,
RT 6127 ZL):
● Set the driving direction selector lever
to forwards.
● Keep the mowing deck button pressed
and press the Mode button at the same
time – automatic disengagement is
switched on or off using the Mode
button (ON or OFF appears on the
display).
● The current setting is permanently
saved.
Checking the programming (only with
RT 6112 C, RT 6112 ZL, RT 6127 ZL):
● Press and hold the mowing deck
button. The mowing deck active symbol
and the text ON or OFF appear on the
display.
ON – The mowing deck is automatically
disengaged when the grass catcher box
is full.
OFF – The mowing deck is not
automatically disengaged when the
grass catcher box is full.
A permanent continuous tone
signals that the grass catcher box is
full. (Ö 13.9)
Risk of injury!
After disengaging the mowing deck,
beware of the mowing blade
running on for up to 7 seconds
before coming to a standstill.
