N Close the valve lever.
N Shut off the engine – see "Starting / 
Stopping the Engine".
Draining the Solution Container
N Turn metering knob (1) to 6. 
N Open the valve lever and drain 
remaining solution into a suitable 
container.
Cleaning the Solution Container
N Rinse and clean the solution 
container and hose system with 
clear water.
N Dispose of remaining spray solution 
and rinsing liquid in accordance with 
local environmental requirements – 
follow maker's instructions.
N Allow the unit to dry with the cap 
removed.
If strainer is dirty:
N Insert a suitable tool (e.g. 
screwdriver) in the two recesses 
(arrows) to loosen the strainer (2).
N Pull the strainer (2) upward and out 
of the solution container.
N Clean the strainer (2) with clear 
water and a brush.
N Store the machine in a dry, high or 
locked location sheltered from frost 
– out of the reach of children and 
other unauthorized persons.
For periods of 3 months or longer
N Drain and clean the fuel tank in a 
well ventilated area.
N Dispose of fuel properly in 
accordance with local 
environmental requirements.
N Run the engine until the carburetor 
is dry – this helps prevent the 
carburetor diaphragms sticking 
together.
N Thoroughly clean the machine – pay 
special attention to the cylinder fins 
and air filter.
N Do not expose the container to 
direct sunlight for unnecessarily 
long periods. UV rays can make the 
container material brittle, which 
could result in leaks or breakage.
