Table 3: Troubleshooting guide
Problem Potential cause and solution
There are noises
during operation.
Check and ensure that the accessories (rack, basket or
tray) are securely inserted in the support guides at the
sides of the oven. If the air fryer function is in use, make
sure the air-frying basket has all feet on the baking tray.
Check and ensure that you have no unused accessories
on top of the air fryer oven.
The unit has not yet passed its break-in period (of
approximately three cooking cycles). Noises are
typical during this time. They do not impact cooking
performance and should stop after approximately three
cooking cycles. If the noises persist, please contact our
after sales support centre. But please note that the unit
will always produce noise when in operation, especially
in convection and air-frying mode.
Food is
undercooked.
You may have overfilled the basket. Put smaller batches
of food in the basket, which are fried more evenly.
Check and ensure that the temperature is set correctly.
Food is overcooked.
You may have to adjust (lower) the set cooking time
and/or temperature. As the air fryer oven is smaller than
your standard oven, it generally heats up faster than a
traditional oven and cooks in shorter periods of time.
Food is fried
unevenly.
Try tossing/shaking the basket with food halfway through
the cooking time, but be careful not to burn yourself. The
metal parts are very hot during use.
Home-made chips
are fried unevenly.
You may not have used the right potato type. Use fresh
potatoes that will remain firm during frying. Also ensure to
rinse and dry the cut potato sticks properly before cooking.
The batter is coming
off when air-frying.
Make sure your batter is not too wet. Add a dry layer and
pat it firmly onto the (battered) food pieces to ensure it will
remain on the food during air-frying.
