Overview

This document is an instruction manual for the STIRLING 473L French Door Fridge, model number STR-H470FF. It provides comprehensive information on the appliance's function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The STIRLING 473L French Door Fridge is a freestanding refrigeration appliance designed for indoor domestic use. It features a French door design with separate compartments for refrigeration and freezing. The appliance has a total net/gross volume of 401L/473L.

The fridge compartment is located at the top and is suitable for short-term storage of fresh food. It includes two removable glass shelves, six door balconies, an anti-bacteria and deodorisation module, and a chiller and crisper temperature control. A "fresh zone" at the bottom of the fridge compartment consists of a covered crisper drawer with humidity control and a covered chiller/crisper drawer with temperature control, designed to maintain optimum storage conditions for fresh produce. The chiller function allows for storing highly perishable foods like meats, poultry, or seafood at a lowered temperature, keeping them fresh but not frozen. The crisper function is for storing fresh fruit or vegetables, maintaining suitable temperature and humidity levels. The crisper drawer has a humidity control on its cover, allowing for low humidity (open control) for fruits to prevent premature rotting, and high humidity (closed control) for vegetables to keep greens crisper.

The freezer compartment is located at the bottom and is suitable for freezing domestic quantities of fresh food and long-term storage (up to three months) of frozen food. It is equipped with two slide-out trays and four drawers for convenient access and organised storage. This is a frost-free appliance, meaning manual defrosting of the freezer compartment is not necessary as it defrosts automatically.

The appliance features an exterior control panel on the refrigerator door, allowing users to view and adjust temperatures for both fridge and freezer compartments, select operation modes, and lock the control panel. The display shows current temperature settings and indicators for various modes.
