Operations Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
3 - 4 Version 4.0 - February 1998
OPERATOR FUNCTIONS
OVERVIEW
This chapter is designed to introduce the 6DS-SP control software and to
provide step-by-step procedures to the machine operator for operating and
maintaining the 6DS-SP on a daily basis.
Actions to be taken by the operator are shown in numbered steps with
computer commands printed in bold type.
Messages Displayed on the Control Computer Screen Take Precedence!
Messages and information displayed on the control computer screen always
take precedence over information in this manual.
Because control computer software can be updated more rapidly than manual
information, onscreen directions may be more current than the contents of
this manual. Should the manual and the screen information conflict,
always follow any onscreen directions.
Assumptions
The procedures below were written with the assumptions that:
1. The operator has read chapters one and two of this manual,
Introduction and Machine Description.
2. The machine has been correctly installed and maintained, per
procedures found in the 6DS-SP Maintenance manual.
3. The process supervisor has followed the procedures in the Machine
Setup chapter of this manual for machine setup and entry of recipe
parameters.
4. The process supervisor has instructed the operator on recipe
parameter requirements.
