Software Installation:
Introduction:
Software is installed by copying files from a floppy disk onto the machine's internal
computer. This computer is located behind the left front access door.
Important: Copying new software onto the machine will delete whatever
software was previously in the machine. However, calibration, setup, polish recipe, and
conditioning recipe files are not altered.
The following describes how to use a R. Howard Strasbaugh, Inc. 6DS-SP "INSTALL"
utility disk which will automatically install software.
Installing new software from floppy disks to the machine:
NOTE: Two diskettes are used to install the software
1) If the "DOS prompt" "C:\QB45>" is not already showing on the screen,
do the following:
- In the main menu, type ALT+Q (press the ALT and Q keys together).
This should cause the DOS prompt "C:\QB45>" to show.
2) Insert the "INSTALL DISK #1 of 2" diskette into the machine's disk drive.
3) Type: A:INSTALL and press ENTER
- Files will automatically be copied from the disk to the machine.
- Remove the diskette when done.
4) Insert the "INSTALL DISK #2 of 2" diskette into the machine's disk drive.
5) Type: A:INSTALL and press ENTER
- Files will automatically be copied from the disk to the machine.
- Remove the diskette when done.
6) Remove any floppy disk in the machine and turn the machine off and back on
to start the new software.
NOTE: When done saving or installing software, remove the floppy disk from the
computer disk drive. Always keep floppy disks in a cool dry place.
