CONDITIONING/CLEANING
PARAMETERS MENU
(SCREEN PAGE 1)
This menu/page permits setting some of the parameters that determine the
pad conditioning cycle.
Machines with the programmable arm can be set up for either pre or post
polish conditioning or in-situ conditioning. If pre or post polish conditioning
is selected (by not selecting in-situ conditioning), conditioning will occur
between polish cycles. If in-situ conditioning is selected, pad conditioning
will occur during primary table polishing. Also, if in-situ conditioning is
selected, the choices for pre or post conditioning (Pad Conditioning Interval,
Conditioning Cycles, Pre/Post Conditioning, Sweep Stroke Style, Sweep
Stroke Start) will be ignored.
Machines with the non-programmable arm do not have the Conditioning
Device Speed value and instead have an Arm Speed value. The arm speed is
the approximate number of seconds for the arm to make a sweep across the
table. Also, machines with the non-programmable arm will show a
Conditioning Down Force value which is applicable only if the down force
option is installed.
