Maintenance Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
3 - 4 Version 4.0 - February 1998
CABINETRY
Note: Cabinet configurations may vary slightly to accommodate
customized features.
The figures below illustrate four views of the Model 6DS-SP Planarizer,
identifying service doors and subassemblies. Each figure has its own part
identification list and some description. The service doors are identified in
Figures 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, and 3-4.
The service doors are secured by lift and turn twist-lock fasteners located in the
upper two corners of the door. Lock or release the fasteners by using a hand-
held Phillips screwdriver to rotate them 90 ° clockwise or counterclockwise as
needed.
When locking service doors, firmly tighten with the Phillips screwdriver to
provide maximum security against unauthorized opening.
INTERLOCK SAFETY SWITCHES
The operator and service doors are equipped with interlock safety switches. One
or more open interlocks interrupt(s) the emergency off circuit.
SERVICE DOOR INTERLOCKS
If any one service door is not fully closed, its interlock switch will remain open,
preventing machine power up and cycle start. If a service door is opened during
an auto polish cycle, power to the machine will be shut down, and the cycle will
terminate at the time the door is opened. To restart, close the service door, and
follow the procedures in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual for powering up the machine and running an auto cycle.
