The drain tub for the polish table assembly is equipped with a rinse ring
consisting of several spray nozzles mounted around the pan to thoroughly rinse
the bottom of the pan. During the auto polish cycle, rinse water from the rinse
ring spurts at fixed time intervals, keeping the bottom of the tub relatively clean
and preventing the slurry solution from clogging up the drainpipe.
Three floor pans at the base of the machine catch drips or leaks and drain to a
controlled site to prevent spillage onto the floor. With the drain pan alarm
feature, each pan is equipped with a leak detect sensor to signal to the operator
the existence of a leak in the machine as indicated by the presence of water in the
pan.
