Close All Access Doors
Turn Machine Power On, Perform Home Sequence Routine
Follow the procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
B. REMOVE THE ROBOT FROM THE MACHINE
1. At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu, select Robot Move and choose
Left Send move the robot to the left send elevator.
2. Press the <EMERG OFF> button on the control panel to turn power
off to the machine.
3. Open the elevator access doors and the left front operator door.
4. Locate the three black right angle connections mounted at the end of the
robot carriage nearest the polish table.
5. Manually rotate each black right angle connection counterclockwise to
disconnect all three.
6. Locate and disconnect the two quick disconnect hoses:
a. Disconnect Line 94 (vacuum), located in the bottom slot.
b. Disconnect Line 11 (purge system), located in the middle slot.
Note: The top slot is vacant.
7. Using a 7/16-in. open end wrench, remove the two 1/4 cap nuts mounted
on the horizontal surface of the robot’s stainless steel cover by rotating
them counterclockwise.
8. Move the cable carrier aside.
9. Lift the bellows.
10. Manually rotate the robot lead screw to move the robot approximately
five inches in the direction of the polish table.
