5. While watching the level, use a 1/16-in. hex key to rotate the three #6
set screws located at the end of the robot arm opposite the vacuum
chuck clockwise or counterclockwise as needed to meet the goal:
• For side to side adjustment - With the level positioned
perpendicular to the arm, rotate the two set screws located nearest
the vacuum chuck as needed to meet the goal.
• For front to rear adjustment - With the level positioned parallel to
the arm, rotate the single set screw located farthest from the vacuum
chuck as needed to meet the goal.
6. When the goal has been met for both parallel and perpendicular
placement of the level, retighten the two 1/4-20 button head screws by
rotating them clockwise to firm.
7. Recheck the adjustment by repeating Steps 1., 2., and 3., above in this
section.
a. If the goal is met for both parallel and perpendicular placement of
the level, continue to Section E., below.
b. If the goal is not met, repeat the adjustment procedure found in
Steps 4., 5., and 6., above in this section, until the goal is met.
E. REINSTALL THE ROBOT IN THE MACHINE
1. Replace the robot in the machine.
2. Using a 5/32-in. hex key, reinstall the two 1/4-20 flat head socket head
cap screws located on the extension of the robot’s black base plate.
3. Using a 3/16-in. hex key, reinstall the two 1/4-20 x 1/2 socket head cap
screws located inside the cover.
4. Replace the rectangular cover on the side of the robot carriage.
5. Using a 7/64-in. hex key, reinstall the six 6-32 socket head cap screws
securing the rectangular cover.
6. Replace the bellows.
7. Replace the cable carrier.
