6. a. Turn the machine power to ON by pressing the green <MACHINE
ON> button located on the control panel.
b. Perform the home sequence routine.
7. At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu select Bridge Move and choose
Pol tbl 1 to move the bridge to its polish position.
8. Reattach the clamp and the dial indicator.
9. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Right Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to lower the right spindle.
10. Readjust the dial indicator for a 5-in. radius.
11. Select Right Spindle Speed and enter 2 to rotate the spindle at
approximately 2 RPM.
12. Read the indicator dial as the spindle rotates.
13. Adjust the four top set screws in the spindle collar:
a. With the indicator rotated to the front of the machine, turn the dial
to 0.
b. As the spindle rotates, read the dial for the farthest reading from
zero. Note the reading and its location.
c. Select Right Spindle Speed and enter 0 to stop the spindle.
d. Tighten the two top set screws corresponding to the location of the
reading farthest from 0. For each screw:
Using a 3/16-in. hex key, tighten 1/8 turn clockwise.
e. Select Right Spindle Speed and enter 2 to restart the spindle.
f. Re-zero the dial indicator.
g. Reread the dial indicator:
If the readings continue to vary more than +/- .001 in., adjust the 4
side set screws as discussed in the step immediately below.
