LEFT SPINDLE UP LIMIT SWITCH
Note: The left spindle should be in up position after homing.
B. CHECK CURRENT CALIBRATION
1. At the Diagnostics Menu screen, read the left spindle up limit switch
status Iinput 1):
GOAL: Input 1 should be ON when the spindle is in its up
position.
a. If the input is on, skip to the Right Spindle Up Limit Switch, below.
b. If the input is not on, correct it by following the adjustment
procedure in Section C., immediately below.
C. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left and right side stainless steel bridge covers:
a. Using a ladder to reach the top of the machine, locate the two
latches of the left side cover, one at each side.
b. For each latch, push in, lift up, and rotate as needed to release.
c. Lift off and set aside.
d. Repeat for the right side cover.
Note: For removal of the front and rear bridge covers, use a 5/64-in.
hex key to remove the 6-32 button head screws securing each
cover.
2. Find the upper limit switch and switch actuator for the left spindle,
located at the front of the upper bridge and nearest the left spindle.
3. Using a 1/2-in. open end wrench, loosen the 5/16-in. bolt securing the
switch actuator by rotating it counterclockwise.
