B. SET THE VACUUM SWITCHES TO 15 HG
1. Remove the left and right side stainless steel bridge covers:
a. Using a ladder to reach the top of the machine, locate the two
latches of the left side cover, one at each side.
b. For each latch, push in, lift up, and rotate as needed to release.
c. Lift off and set aside.
d. Repeat for the right side cover.
Note: For removal of the front and rear bridge covers, use a 5/64-in.
hex key to remove the 6-32 button head screws securing each
cover.
2. Locate the Barksdale vacuum switch for the left spindle, mounted at the
front of the upper bridge on the left side rotary joint.
(The right spindle vacuum switch is mounted on the right side rotary
joint.)
3. Set the vacuum switch to 15 inches of Hg (midrange):
• Rotate the white nylon thumb dial until the indicator line of the
dial is aligned with the midrange mark on the switch housing.
Note: To align the mark accurately, be sure you are looking
directly at the thumb dial rather than viewing it from an
angle.
4. Replace the bridge covers.
5. Close all doors to the machine.
