C. CHECK THE DIGITAL INPUT WITH CARRIERS OFF
1. Following procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the
6DS-SP Operations manual, power up the machine and perform the
home sequence routine.
2. At the Diagnostics Menu screen, read the left spindle vacuum switch
input status (Input 5):
GOAL: Input 5 should be OFF when the carriers are off.
(right spindle vacuum = Input 6)
D. CHECK THE DIGITAL INPUT WITH CARRIERS ON
1. Following procedures listed in the Operator Functions chapter of the
6DS-SP Operations manual, install the carriers on the spindles.
2. At the Diagnostics Menu screen, read the left spindle vacuum switch
input status (input 5):
GOAL: Input 5 should be ON when the carriers are on.
(right spindle vacuum = Input 6)
E. EVALUATE THE DIGITAL INPUT READINGS
• If the input readings don’t meet the goals in Sections C. and D., above,
check the system for vacuum leaks and/or blockages.
RIGHT SPINDLE
Repeat for the left spindle, making appropriate substitutions as shown in the text
above.
